What each Unbounce plan includes
Unbounce has four self-serve plans and a Concierge tier with custom pricing. Each self-serve plan comes with a 14-day trial of that plan, and you can start it without a credit card.
| Plan | Billed yearly | Billed monthly | Visitors |
|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $22 | $29 | 500 |
| Build | $74 | $99 | 20,000 |
| Experiment | $112 | $149 | 30,000 |
| Optimize | $187 | $249 | 50,000 |
Prices are per month in US dollars.
Which plan a paid-traffic account needs
Starter, with five pages and a small visitor allowance, is for building and previewing. Build is the first plan with room for a live ad campaign: unlimited pages, popups, sticky bars and your own scripts and pixels. Experiment is the plan to buy if you want to split-test, since unlimited A/B tests, unlimited variants and dynamic text replacement all start there. Optimize adds Smart Traffic, scheduling and audience insights, and fits accounts running many variants at steady volume.
Visitors, conversions and overage
A visitor is one person in one calendar month, counted the first time they see a page, popup or sticky bar. Conversions are not metered on any plan. When a campaign takes you over the allowance, Unbounce sends an email and an in-app warning. Your pages stay live, and the extra usage appears as a one-off charge.
Yearly or monthly billing
Yearly billing cuts each plan's monthly rate by about a quarter. Monthly billing suits an account that is still deciding whether testing pays, because it lets you drop back a tier without a year's commitment.
For how the builder and its testing hold up, and what PPC buyers say about it, read the Unbounce review. If the bill is the reason you are looking elsewhere, the Unbounce alternatives page sorts the options.
Is it worth it?
What works
- The 14-day trial gives full access to the plan you pick, Experiment included, and you can start it without a credit card.
- A/B tests run from the same editor you design in, with unlimited variants, a manual traffic split and confidence intervals on Experiment and above.
- Dynamic text replacement comes with Experiment, for matching the headline to the keyword or ad behind each click.
- Conversions are unlimited on every plan, and a returning visitor is counted once a month.
- Going over the visitor allowance does not take pages offline. They keep running, and the extra traffic is billed as a one-off charge.
- The MCP server connects Claude and ChatGPT on every plan, including the trial, to build pages and run tests.
- Long-time PPC buyers rate its layout control above Leadpages.
What to watch
- Starter allows five pages and 500 visitors a month, too few for live ad traffic.
- A/B testing starts on Experiment, the third of four self-serve tiers, so the two cheaper plans give you hosted pages with no testing.
- Smart Traffic, the AI traffic optimization, needs the Optimize plan.
- PPC buyers on Reddit call it overpriced for modest budgets, and some describe the editor as slow.
- It has no checkout, bumps or upsells, and it needs a separate tracker to tie conversions to ad spend.
