### Where Cometly fits

Cometly is a real, established attribution platform, and its server-side Conversion API is genuinely good at the job it claims. The catch is fit. In 2026 Cometly is built for B2B SaaS: it ties ad spend to Stripe revenue and CRM pipeline, right through to closed-won ARR. If that is your business, it is worth a demo. If you are a DTC or affiliate media buyer, note that Cometly has moved away from the ecommerce market it once served, it no longer publishes prices or runs a free trial, and you are quoted on a call. You will regret buying it if you expected a route-through campaign tracker, if you run cash-on-delivery or email-less checkouts, or if you need to see a price and test against your own numbers before you talk to sales.

It is at its best for b2b saas teams tying ad spend to stripe revenue and crm pipeline. That is the lens the rest of this review uses: not whether it is the biggest tool on the market, but whether it is the right one for that operator.

#### What Cometly is

Cometly is a marketing attribution platform. You install its Comet Pixel with one line, and it captures every visitor cookielessly and across devices, records the conversion server-side so ad blockers and iOS restrictions do not drop it, and models the full multi-touch journey back to the campaign, ad and creative that drove it. Its headline job in 2026 is revenue attribution: a native Stripe integration ties trials, new customers, recurring revenue and LTV to the originating ad, and lifecycle stages from HubSpot or Salesforce map onto the same touchpoints. It then pushes those attributed conversions back to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok through their Conversion APIs, so the ad platforms optimize on your real funnel instead of thin browser events.

It is run by Comet LLC and has tracked paid spend for years, so the first question a nervous buyer asks has an easy answer: yes, it is a real, established product, not an app that appeared last quarter. It carries named case studies and a mid-30s G2 review base at 4.8 out of 5, alongside a larger Trustpilot profile at 3.6 out of 5 across 92 reviews.

#### Who it is for now, and who should skip it

Cometly today is built for B2B SaaS. If you sell software on a trial-to-paid or a demo-to-closed motion, run paid acquisition into it, and want one report that connects Meta and Google spend to MRR, CAC payback and closed-won ARR that finance will defend, this is squarely the tool. The Stripe and CRM plumbing is the part that earns its keep.

Skip it if you are a DTC or ecommerce brand. Cometly's own site now names Triple Whale as the ecommerce option and positions itself away from that market. Shopify still integrates, but reviewers report weaker matching on cash-on-delivery and email-less orders, so do not assume the ecom fit its older reputation implies. Skip it too if you are an affiliate or media buyer who routes many offers through a redirect and needs the tracker itself to rotate offers and split landers. That is Voluum, RedTrack and Binom territory, and Cometly does not do it.

#### Is it real, and will you regret it?

Real, yes. The strength users independently confirm is server-side accuracy. On r/FacebookAds, buyers report Cometly's Conversion API sending more matched data to Meta than other trackers they had run, and the vendor states customers typically reach a 9.3 out of 10 Meta event match quality where a manual setup averages 4 to 5\. That is a concrete, checkable claim, and it is the reason to look.

The regret, when it comes, is about fit and expectations rather than capability. Cometly is an attribution layer, not a fix for a broken funnel, and its numbers only agree with your backend once identity data is passed cleanly. The recurring complaints in the long-running r/FacebookAds thread are support replies measured in business days and difficulty seeing the full pre-purchase journey or getting purchases captured fast enough. The sample is small, so treat it as a checklist for the demo, not a verdict: watch response times and event latency before you move a whole operation across.

#### What you cannot see before you buy

Cometly no longer publishes prices and no longer runs a free trial. Both plans, Core and Enterprise, are usage-based on your monthly pageviews and quoted on a call, with annual billing saving 20%. The vendor's reasoning is that attribution needs CRM and ad-platform setup to be useful, so it pairs new accounts with a paid onboarding specialist instead of a self-serve trial. That is defensible for an enterprise sale, but it means you cannot test against your own numbers before you pay, and you cannot compare the sticker price against the self-serve trackers on this list. One G2 reviewer accepted what they called a fair offer but still wanted more transparent negotiation and flagged pricing changes over time.

### Pros and cons

##### What works

* Server-side Conversion API is the genuine strength. Cometly sends deduplicated conversions back to Meta, Google, LinkedIn and TikTok, and reports Meta event match quality up to 9.3 out of 10 where a manual setup sits at 4 to 5\. Buyers on r/FacebookAds confirm it pushed more matched data to Meta than other trackers they had run.
* Revenue attribution built around Stripe and the CRM, not just clicks. The native Stripe sync ties trials, new customers, recurring revenue and LTV to the originating ad, and HubSpot and Salesforce lifecycle stages map onto the same touchpoints, right through to closed-won ARR. That is the report a SaaS finance team will actually defend.
* Modern data plumbing under it. A cookieless Comet Pixel with cross-device identity, 70-plus native integrations, an Agent you query in plain English instead of writing SQL, and on Enterprise a warehouse sync to Snowflake or BigQuery plus an MCP server that lets an AI agent read your attribution data. The vendor puts setup at hours rather than weeks.
* Established and reviewed, not a new app. Comet LLC has tracked paid spend for years, with named case studies (ClickFunnels reports a 31% ad-return lift, Trainual a 40% improvement in 90 days) and aggregate ratings of 4.8 out of 5 on G2 across 36 reviews and 3.6 out of 5 on Trustpilot across 92.

##### What to watch

* It is not a route-through campaign tracker. Cometly attributes traffic to your own site and funnel; it does not rotate offers, split traffic across landers by rule, or distribute clicks the way Voluum, RedTrack or Binom do. That matters most to affiliate media buyers running many offers through a redirect. A SaaS team sending paid traffic to one funnel does not need routing.
* It has left the DTC and ecommerce market it once served. Cometly's own site now names Triple Whale as the ecommerce tool and positions itself for B2B SaaS. Shopify still integrates, but reviewers report weaker matching on cash-on-delivery and email-less orders, so an ecom brand should demand proof on its own orders before buying.
* No public price and no free trial. Every plan is usage-based on monthly pageviews and quoted on a sales call, and Cometly says it does not run a trial because attribution needs setup first. Buyers who want to test against their own numbers before paying, or just want a price before a call, get neither. One G2 reviewer wanted more transparent negotiation and flagged pricing changes over time.
* Support and journey timing draw the recurring complaints. The long-running r/FacebookAds thread reports support replies measured in business days and trouble seeing the full pre-purchase journey or getting purchases captured fast enough. The sample is small, but it is consistent enough that you should test response times and event latency during onboarding.

#### What users actually say about Cometly

Research: unverified

##### Ties ad spend to real revenue better than platform dashboards ↑ frequently praised

The consistent reason buyers reach for Cometly is to see paid spend against actual money in, via Stripe or the CRM, instead of trusting Meta's self-reported conversions. Users describe the picture changing once real revenue is the yardstick.

> “Did calls with several of them, 3pl whale and Hyros seem to be very expensive but really liked Cometly (liked the features, what they track and the price they quoted was $600/month which is not too bad).”

r/PPC commenter [Reddit ](https://www.reddit.com/r/PPC/comments/180xl40/is%5Fmeta%5Fad%5Fattribution%5Freally%5Fthat%5Fbad/) Jan 2023

> “ended up using Cometly to track first touch through to actual revenue so we could see which creators were worth the retargeting spend later. not perfect but way better than guessing off GA.”

r/ecommerce commenter [Reddit ](https://www.reddit.com/r/ecommerce/comments/1pc4ujo/influencer%5Fmarketing%5Fattribution%5Fis%5Fstill%5Fbroken/)

> “been running Cometly to tie ad spend straight to stripe revenue and it's wild how different the story looks when you're just tracking actual money in vs what meta says happened.”

r/MarketingAutomation commenter [Reddit ](https://www.reddit.com/r/MarketingAutomation/comments/1tkc8nc/the%5Fattribution%5Fweekly%5Fwhat%5Fhappened%5Fin%5Fpaid/)

##### Attribution is directional, not the truth

Experienced buyers stress that Cometly, like every third-party attribution tool, runs its own model and will not perfectly match Meta, GA4 and your bank. It is a better decision layer, not a source of absolute truth, and needs clean UTMs and CRM data to be worth anything.

> “ended up using Cometly to track first touch through to actual revenue so we could see which creators were worth the retargeting spend later. not perfect but way better than guessing off GA.”

r/ecommerce commenter [Reddit ](https://www.reddit.com/r/ecommerce/comments/1pc4ujo/influencer%5Fmarketing%5Fattribution%5Fis%5Fstill%5Fbroken/)

> “Always remember that these third party solutions are going to have their own attribution model and they will all look different, but it can be really helpful to get an unbiased look at attribution to help with directional decisions.”

##### Price is opaque and, to some, high ↓ common complaint

There is no public pricing; quotes come on a sales call and are usage-based on pageviews. Some buyers report the price feels too high for what they got, and at least one flags pricing changing after signing on.

> “Did calls with several of them, 3pl whale and Hyros seem to be very expensive but really liked Cometly (liked the features, what they track and the price they quoted was $600/month which is not too bad).”

Issa [Trustpilot ](https://www.trustpilot.com/review/cometly.com) Jul 2026

> “the lack of support and changes in pricing after a while were frustrating.”

Alexandre K. [G2 ](https://www.g2.com/products/cometly/reviews/cometly-review-13171464) Aug 2026

##### Strong G2 sentiment, thinner elsewhere

G2 is the strongest signal at 4.8 from 36 reviews. Trustpilot is more mixed at 3.6 from 92 and flags that recent reviews may not be representative, and there is no clear Capterra listing. Complaints that do appear cluster on complexity, documentation lag and support.
