Quick answer

**ElasticFunnels** is our top pick for most people. ElasticFunnels is a funnel platform for teams that buy traffic. It builds the pages, split-tests them under one URL, hosts the checkout with order bumps and multi-MID routing, and keeps the CRM, automations and attribution on the same data layer. It tops this list for a reason a tracker bolted onto a separate stack cannot match: a click, an order, a rebill and a refund are one record, so revenue reports per ad, page and variant without stitching four exports together. It is the pick when you are building the funnel anyway and want the numbers to come from the same place the sale happened.

* **SegMetrics.** Best for Info-product sellers, course creators, coaches and agencies who need person-level attribution and lead value across email-heavy, long-cycle funnels. From $57/mo.

### Where CartFlows fits

CartFlows is real and well established: founded in 2018, used on more than 800,000 WooCommerce stores, built by Brainstorm Force (the team behind the Astra theme), and rated 4.8 out of 5 across 500-plus WordPress.org reviews. If you run a WooCommerce store and want optimized checkout, order bumps and one-click upsells inside WordPress instead of moving to a hosted funnel platform, it does that job well and cheaply. You will regret it if your store is not on WooCommerce, because it does nothing without it, or if you are not ready for the occasional plugin conflict. The loudest complaints are not about the software at all. They are about billing, where buyers report charges after cancellation and a refund process that is hard to navigate once the 14-day window closes.

It is at its best for woocommerce store owners who want a better checkout and post-purchase upsells inside wordpress, without moving to a hosted funnel platform. That is the lens the rest of this review uses: not whether it is the biggest tool on the market, but whether it is the right one for that operator.

#### What CartFlows is

CartFlows is a sales funnel and checkout plugin for WordPress stores running WooCommerce. Its core job is to replace WooCommerce's plain default checkout with an optimized one and to add the revenue mechanics that checkout is missing out of the box: order bumps on the checkout page, one-click upsells and downsells after purchase, custom thank-you pages, and A/B split testing of the whole flow. It sits inside your own WordPress install rather than being a separate hosted platform you send traffic to.

Over the years it has grown from a single funnel plugin into a small suite. The company now bundles CartFlows with Modern Cart (a slide-in cart with in-cart upsells), Cart Abandonment Recovery (automated email, SMS and WhatsApp follow-ups), Power Coupons and Variation Swatches, all sharing one codebase. You can still buy just the funnel builder, which is what most people mean when they say CartFlows.

It is not new and it is not fringe. CartFlows launched in 2018, advertises use on more than 800,000 WooCommerce stores, and is built by Brainstorm Force, the same team behind the Astra theme that powers millions of WordPress sites. On WordPress.org it carries a 4.8 out of 5 rating across more than 500 reviews. The honest answer to the first question a nervous buyer asks is yes: it is a real, well-maintained product with a long track record.

#### Who it is for, and who should skip it

CartFlows fits the store owner who is already on WooCommerce and wants better checkout and upsell mechanics without leaving WordPress. If you sell courses, memberships, physical products or digital downloads through WooCommerce and your checkout is the default WooCommerce one, this is the most direct way to add order bumps and post-purchase upsells, keep your existing payment gateways, and own all of it on your own hosting. Agencies building client stores like it for the same reason, which is why the higher plans allow 3 to 30 sites.

Skip it if you are not on WooCommerce. CartFlows is fully dependent on WordPress plus WooCommerce; there is no standalone or hosted version, so a Shopify store or a store on a hosted funnel platform cannot use it at all. Skip it, too, if you want a turnkey single platform that includes its own email tool, CRM and hosting. CartFlows deliberately does one layer of the stack and leans on WooCommerce and third-party tools for the rest. That is a strength if you already run WordPress and a frustration if you wanted everything in one login.

#### Is it real, and will you regret it?

Real, clearly. The regret, where it shows up, is rarely about whether the plugin works. It clusters around three things, and they are worth knowing before you pay.

First, plugin conflicts. CartFlows lives alongside your theme, your page builder and your other WooCommerce extensions, and sometimes they disagree. The most-reported clash is with Elementor; one Trustpilot reviewer wrote that CartFlows "would not allow me to use Elementor when it was installed," and only removing CartFlows got Elementor working again. CartFlows officially supports Elementor, Bricks, Divi, Beaver Builder, Spectra and the block editor, so this is not universal, but it means you should test on a staging site before you launch, especially on a store already heavy with plugins.

Second, the tiering. The features most people buy CartFlows for, A/B split testing, dynamic upsells and smart funnel routing, are Pro features ($199/year), and cart abandonment recovery and the rest of the suite need the top plan. The free version and the Starter plan build funnels and checkouts but stop short of the optimization tools. None of that is hidden, but it does mean the honest budget for a serious funnel is Pro, not the headline Starter price.

Third, and loudest, billing. The sharpest one-star reviews are not about the software at all. They are about money. A Trustpilot reviewer wrote that "they charge you after subscription was cancelled," and a Capterra reviewer described having "no option but to jump through hoops to stop an unwanted service renewal." Support draws the same criticism once a refund is in play: slow replies, and sometimes none. The 14-day money-back guarantee is real and usable, but after it closes the picture gets harder. If you buy, cancel in writing before your renewal date and keep the confirmation email.

#### What it actually costs

CartFlows is billed per year, not per month, and renewal rates are higher than the first-year price. There is also a free version on WordPress.org and a 14-day money-back guarantee on every paid plan. Prices below are in USD, read from CartFlows' own pricing page on 3 October 2026.

| Plan | Price | What it adds |
| ------- | ------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Free | $0 | One site. Simple sales funnels and checkout from WordPress.org; omits the paid optimization features. |
| Starter | $99/yr | One site. Funnel builder, modern checkout layouts, product options and custom thank-you pages. Renews at $149/yr. |
| Pro | $199/yr | Three sites. Adds dynamic order bumps, dynamic upsells, smart funnel routing, A/B split testing and advanced analytics. Renews at $299/yr; a one-time lifetime license is $699. |
| Suite | $299/yr | Thirty sites. Everything in Pro plus Cart Abandonment Recovery, Modern Cart, Power Coupons and bonus tools. Renews at $449/yr; a one-time lifetime license is $999. |

The number that matters for most stores: the optimization features that make CartFlows worth buying, split testing and dynamic upsells, start at the $199/year Pro plan, not the $99 Starter. Budget for Pro if upsells and testing are why you are here. If you also want cart abandonment recovery built in rather than wired up with a third-party email tool, that is the Suite.

#### What buyers say

On the positive side, store owners praise how quickly it drops into an existing WooCommerce setup. One WordPress.org reviewer summed up the common experience as an "excellent funnel builder with amazing support," and the plugin's 4.8-star average across 500-plus reviews backs that up: the recurring themes are easy setup, a solid template library, and support that answers. CartFlows' own site quotes WordPress figure Chris Lema saying it "brings the post-purchase features to WooCommerce that it's always needed," which is a fair description of the gap it fills.

On the critical side, the complaints split into two kinds. Some are about fit and features: independent reviews note gaps like no in-checkout quantity changes, and heavy users comparing it with FunnelKit point out that CartFlows handles one product per funnel step where its main rival handles several. Those are real limitations but niche ones. The complaints that should weigh on your decision are the billing ones, covered above, because they are about the company's conduct rather than the plugin's capability.

### Pros and cons

##### What works

* A real, established, WooCommerce-native product. CartFlows has shipped since 2018, runs on more than 800,000 stores, is built by Brainstorm Force (the team behind the Astra theme, used on millions of sites), and holds 4.8 out of 5 across more than 500 WordPress.org reviews. If your question is whether it is real and will still be here, the answer is yes.
* It fixes WooCommerce's weakest point, the checkout. CartFlows replaces the default WooCommerce checkout with optimized layouts, order bumps and one-click upsells, which is the step where revenue is won or lost. Reviewers repeatedly call the setup easy enough for non-developers, and the template library gets a funnel live fast.
* You keep your own stack. Everything runs inside your own WordPress site on WooCommerce, so you own your data, your hosting and your payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Square, Authorize.Net and more) rather than renting a hosted funnel platform that holds all of it. For an operator who already lives in WordPress, that is the real draw.
* Cheap for what it does, with a genuine free version. The free plugin on WordPress.org builds simple funnels, Starter is $99 a year, and every paid plan has a 14-day money-back guarantee. Pro-tier features like A/B testing and dynamic upsells cost a fraction of what a hosted funnel SaaS charges each month.

##### What to watch

* WooCommerce-only. CartFlows does nothing without WordPress and WooCommerce, so if your store is on Shopify or a hosted platform it is a non-starter. That limit matters only if you are not already on WooCommerce. For stores that are, it is the whole point of the product.
* It can conflict with other plugins. Users report clashes, Elementor in particular, where one reviewer had to remove CartFlows to get Elementor working again. Budget time for compatibility testing before you launch. A simple stack rarely hits it; a site already heavy with page-builder and checkout plugins is more exposed.
* Billing and cancellation draw the sharpest complaints. Reviewers on Trustpilot and Capterra report being charged after they cancelled and a cancel option that is hard to find, with slow support once a refund is in play. The software itself is not the issue here; the account and refund handling is. Cancel in writing well before your renewal date and keep the confirmation.
* The features you want are gated to paid tiers, and renewals cost more than year one. A/B testing, dynamic one-click upsells and smart funnel routing need Pro ($199/year); cart abandonment recovery and the rest need the Suite. Every plan renews at a higher rate than the first-year price. Price the renewal, not the launch discount.

#### What users actually say about CartFlows

##### WooCommerce native funnels beginners can set up ↑ frequently praised

The strongest praise is that CartFlows adds optimized checkout, order bumps and one-click upsells to WooCommerce without leaving WordPress, and that non-developers can set it up quickly. It holds a 4.8/5 average across 500-plus WordPress.org reviews, with support called out repeatedly as fast and helpful.

##### Tied to WooCommerce, and it can fight other plugins

CartFlows only works on WordPress with WooCommerce, so it is a non-starter for any store that is not on that stack. Users also report conflicts with other plugins, Elementor in particular, where one had to remove CartFlows to get Elementor working again. Independent reviews note gaps like no in-checkout quantity changes.

##### Billing and cancellation are the loudest complaints ↓ common complaint

The sharpest one-star reviews are about money, not the software. Trustpilot and Capterra carry repeated reports of charges continuing after cancellation and of a cancellation process that is hard to find, with slow or absent support responses once a refund is in play.
